At Greenacres Curling Rink our Members and Visitors health and safety is our top priority
We request that you wear a face covering except when curling and when seated at the tables in the lounge.
On entry to the Club there is a QR code to be scanned on your mobile phone. You will require to be on the Greenacres Wi fi and the first time you do this you will be asked for your name and phone number …for further visits you just need to scan the QR code, and it remembers you.
If you do not have a mobile phone that enables you to take a photo of the code, we will register your membership number.
We would also request you do take your temperature on entry and if it reads 37.8 degrees or above unfortunately entry to the club will be denied.
We will be operating a one-way system entering from the downstairs entrance and leaving by the top door down the ramp to the upper car park – the same as last season.
Your allocated sheet of ice will be shown on the TV Screen at the entrance. Please make your way to the table in the lounge allocated to that sheet.
We encourage all members to use their own curling shoes and brush, however brushes and shoes for hire are available. Sanitised brushes will be at the entrance and once used please leave in the used bin at the top of the stairs in the lounge. If you require to hire shoes, please ask a member of staff who will give you a sanitised pair and once used please also leave in the bin at the top of the stairs in the lounge
Changing rooms will be open and available however where possible we would ask you to come dressed ready to curl and only have your shoes to change.
Wipes for stone handles and hand sanitiser will be available on every sheet and the scoreboard numbers will be sanitised between each session. The 2nd player of the team playing the dark stone handles will be responsible to keep the scoreboard up to date. The 2nd player in the other team will be responsible for keeping the scorecard up to date. This is to minimize contact with surfaces.
We kindly request that the stones are returned to the home end at the conclusion of your game.
Measures will be between the sheets - If you require a measure please return it to the same place and there will be wipes provided if you can please wipe down the measure after use.
There will be tables allocated for sheets going on to the ice and for sheets coming off the ice.
