Today the Canada to Scotland Friendship Tour 2024 visited Greenacres and played 4 local teams.
Despite a local power outage cutting the games short our guests and curlers kept the atmosphere alive with party games and songs. Although we were only able to complete 6 ends of curling before the lights went out we were still able to supply our visitors with a modified meal after the game. The issue on this occasion was the loss of one of our 3 phases of power. This was the second occasion this particular issue occurred. The first was part of what led to our late opening in September along with the failure of 2 pumps.
